What if God said?

For the troubled heart and the weak mind, you’re not alone nor should you ever feel that way, walk with me on this journey of what if and be honest with yourself because I will be honest with you.

What if God came down to earth and stepped out of Heaven? Id ask him to make his home in my heart.

What if God became a man to live the life I couldn’t and to die the death I deserve? Id have trouble understanding that type of love.

What if God said let your past sins rest on my son and let your repentance rest in my son? I’d have trouble understanding that amount of grace.

What if God said your life is worthless without me as the center but I will give you the free will to decide that on your own?
Id probably test the world and find an endless amount of un-satisfaction.

What if God said every part of you is my unique design and you were made in my image? Id say but God you are so good and I am so weak and sinful.

What if God said through your weakness I show my strength? Id have trouble understanding that type of compassion.

What if God said give yourself up, pick up your cross, and follow me? Id have an answer with a lot of excuses.

What if God said the great things I’ve prepared for you are far greater than any suffering you have endured? Id have trouble understanding that type of promise.

What if God said by yourself it is impossible but with me nothing is impossible? I would test the limits.

What if God said you can not obtain your own salvation? Id wonder how I could be saved because to get something we must earn it right?

What if God said the world may hate you as it has hated me? I would be worried about my pride.

What if God said hand me all of your worries and anxieties and I will make them disappear? I would be worried that I was too anxious for even God to handle.

What if God said you will be tempted but no more than you can handle? I would wonder why it is still so easy for me to sin.

What if God said you search for the truth but yet rest your questions on another man like you? Id start questioning my own thoughts, my “natural” thoughts.

WHAT IF GOD SAID I ALREADY ANSWERED ALL THOSE QUESTIONS FOR YOU IN JESUS AND ALL THOSE ANSWERS YOU GAVE ME OUR OF YOUR OWN THOUGHTS AND HOW FAR CAN YOUR MIND TAKE YOU BUT TO THE WALLS OF YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING.

How good is our God? trust me? No, trust God. He is more than you can ever comprehend, more than you can even fathom, His greatness would make the oceans of the world look like a hot tub in someones backyard.

Our minds are weak, our heart is sinful and full of pride. Our ways are wicked, we give out of the feeling of guilt not love. Our mind puts God in a box with limits because we ourselves have limits. We look for answers in other people who also have the same questions. When we do this we make God like ourselves, He is not made in our image yet we live like he is. All those answers used to be my answers until my faith was not just a seed planted on a rock with no soil. When I planted my seed of faith in the rich soil that is Jesus Christ I realized that he answers for me because I can never understand myself enough to answer correctly. Sit back and think for a second and most of all relax, God knows we can’t fathom his Holy goodness so he sent his Son to be his pen that daily writes his love story in our hearts. Jesus did for us what we can’t even comprehend let alone actually do ourselves. He gives us life when we are searching for it. He gives us meaning when we are meaningless. He gives us love when were undeserving. He is truth in a world of lies. Trying to figure out Gods grace is like a 4 year old trying to earn his PHD. God did the work for us that we could never do ourselves. Jesus is the solution and our answer should be a repentance of ourselves to not only make Jesus our Lord but to live like him and that can only be done with Him. If you truly come face to face with Gods grace you can do nothing but drop everything including fear to lose all you have ever thought, to gain all you need that is Jesus. How lucky
blessed are we that we don’t have to work to gain salvation cause Jesus already said “it is finished.” Our works become not of those to earn salvation or out of guilt but they become an overflow of Gods grace and love for us then will you truly be a light to the world.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the LORD. And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” (Isaiah 55:8)

“Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.” (Psalm 147:5)

“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” (Psalm 8:3-4)

I love all you guys God bless everyone, my prayers aren’t just for us who believe but for the people who have trouble believing in anything but themselves as well because I don’t see how anyone would ever want to miss out on something so amazing and fulfilling. Since Christmas is the season of giving I hope everyone can give the best present there is and that is showing someone the real God of the Bible because if they even see a sample of Gods grace they will come back for more.

  1. “HOW FAR CAN YOUR MIND TAKE YOU BUT TO THE WALLS OF YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING” so true!
Thank you for this post– it was a great reminder that 1) I’m not alone in my questioning and 2) when we don’t understanding, we must keep our eyes on Jesus! He is the truth and the answer!

  2. Nice to meet you, my brother from Texas. Don’t know if this first blog is sticky ( always on top), but I’m glad it was there this time. May God keep you on His path. It goes home for us.

  3. Rock On Tyler! Keep moving and trusting His Faithfulness. He is a Holy God, and I know He is honored that you speak out for Him in a world that tries to silence Him! Will be praying for this ministry to expand for His glory!

  4. Keep up the good work, Tyler. I’m so impressed when I see the young witnessing for the Lord. I didn’t have the sense to turn to God until the age of twenty five. I enjoy reading your blogs. They are so rational. That is good. Sincerely; your bro MAO

  5. “WHAT IF GOD SAID I ALREADY ANSWERED ALL THOSE QUESTIONS FOR YOU IN JESUS AND ALL THOSE ANSWERS YOU GAVE ME OUR OF YOUR OWN THOUGHTS AND HOW FAR CAN YOUR MIND TAKE YOU BUT TO THE WALLS OF YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING.”
This part gave me goose bumps like ive never had them before.

    • ME as well!!!!! I just wrote a blog about how inadequate I feel, because I don’t have conviction about every interpretation of scripture like so many feel they do. I was thinking what’s wrong with me??? This sums it up, and I don’t have to worry, Jesus Christ will work it out for me! ❤ Tyler, what an inspiration you are!! God Bless your message, HIS MESSAGE! Amen!

  6. Help me, I can’t turn my questioning mind off. I keep coming up with questions and have no reasonable answers. If Eve was the first woman on earth and only had three sons, where did the other females come from? If Noah was sent by God to collect all the animals on earth, 2 by 2 how did he get Pandas, Koala Bears and Kangaroos on the ark? IT clearly says in scripture that God /Jesus will not let anyone suffer, so why are there plane crashes and one survivor? What do believers call the survivor? A miracle. 300 die and one survivor is a miracle? Please explain. My head is spinning and I can’t sleep, so many contradiction in the Bible, Lots of my friends work retail over the whole weekend, God said those who work on the Sabbath should be stoned to death ….oh, Please Help Me.

  7. Hi Tyler, This post must have taken some good thought. I like it where you crossed out “lucky” and put “blessed.” Keep strong in the faith and remain faithful to the end!
